Here is an extremely cool eBay selling tip you can use to link your auction listing to your about me page.

The best thing about it is it is very simple to do and it takes no time at all. All you do is simply insert a few lines of code in your auction listing by copying and pasting the instructions below.

You can use a scrolling link in your auction page to get visitors to click to your "About Me" page and then to your website. If you don't have a website, you will need to learn why you need one by reading: "Ebay Auction Selling and Profiting From the Backend"!

You can use a simple text link or you can use a scrolling link.

You'll need to change the following:

1) (On line 4 and 5) YOUR EBAY ID - Change to YOUR EBAY ID to your actual ID. If your id is "JohnDoe" then it would say... href="http://members.ebay.com/aboutme/ JohnDoe /"> 2) (On line 6) width="350" - Change this number to the width of your ad or your choosing. Example: width="520" 3) (On line 6 and 7) PUT YOUR TEXT HERE! Click Here! - change this verbiage to whatever you want it to say. Be careful here because this is the language that you don't want to violate or eBay's policing department will warn you or take down your auction. Do not try to push the limits here unless you're an upper level Powerseller. Even then, I would not recommend it. I would strongly suggest you stay within their rules and guidelines.

I speak from experience here. This is something that caused me to get several of my auction listings pulled. Make sure you do not break any rules or policies here. Make sure you read all of their rules, policies and guidelines on their site.

You can highlight and copy and paste the code in the above box and paste it into notepad or a text editor of your choosing. Then, make the necessary changes as outlined in the three steps above and once you make the above changes, highlight all of the HTML code. (It starts with "<font" and ends with "</font>".)

Then copy and paste this in the locations where you want the scrolling link to go in your auction page. This can only be done if you're designing your auction pages with html in an html editor.

Now, when you view your auction listing, you'll see your scrolling text of whatever you put in place of PUT YOUR TEXT HERE! You can use Click Here or whatever text you want to have.

When anyone clicks on the link, it will bring up YOUR "About ME" page in a new window.
