Having an ebay selling strategy is very important when you start selling on eBay.

No matter if your goal is to sell part time for extra income or if you want to sell on a full time basis, this is a very important key to making money selling on eBay.

If you've read "The Auction Strategy Blueprint Report", (you can download it now for FREE, if you've not yet read it), you will learn about the Great Principle of Concentration. This is NOT just a concept or theory as the entire United States Military is based on this principle!

The amazing thing is that business and marketing strategies operate much the same way as war, only without physical destruction. The basic similarities are businesses are competing for market share and owning territory in their market with their competitors, just as in war, opposing sides are competing for ownership of the same territory.

To learn more about it, read "The Auction Strategy Blueprint Report".

To sum it up, the Great Principle of Concentration means that you are concentrating your resources at the decisive point.

What this means is that you must concentrate your resources in order to be effective and to maximize your potential.

What was learned is that it's better to have 50% of one market than 10% of 5 markets and how to incorporate this into your ebay sales strategies.

Here's the reason why a strategy for selling on eBay is important and how the principle of concentration applies to your auction business.

There are thousands of small niche markets on the internet meaning markets anywhere up to $500,000 a year more or less which aren't worth the time for big corporations to focus on but are perfect for the home based business owner. Now these would be excellent markets to go after if you were creating an online internet business and selling through a website.

How do you think having a website would work with your auction business in these markets?

This is why and how you may want to target small niches on online auction sites. You'll want to target small niches, develop your presence, and gain a foothold in that market. One of the main goals of that is to capture the traffic that comes to your niche from your auctions, and then you can resell to those prospects through your website.

This is why it's very important that you learn how and why you MUST have a website to incorporate into your ebay selling strategies as it will help you to increase your ebay profits.

For instance, if you sell horse shoes, you want people to bid on your item but at the same time, you want to capture their information to follow up with them so you can convert them into a repeat customer or a future customer.

Too many people are using online auctions wrong when all they do is go for a one time sale. That is a huge mistake! It takes a lot of work and time to create an auction ad with pictures, to pack and ship over and over again. You want to develop the niche that you have on eBay, capture that traffic and then create repeat business from your interested auction visitors with a website presence.

If it's done right, eBay is an excellent way to develop a customer base of people who WANT to hear from you!

Think about it, if you're thinking of becoming an auction seller, and if you think that all you'll ever need is eBay, be forewarned!

If you do NOT have an ebay selling strategy, you are in danger of NOT owning your own business. It will own you!

More specifically, eBay will own you!

Ebay lets all of their automated systems do the work while the sellers do all of the hard part, all of the physical labor, and all of the problems that come along with it!

You've got to get the product, warehouse it, pack and ship it, chase the money, handle complaints and so on!

Ebay doesn't do any of the physical process, they provide the automated forum and then collect a small amount for each transaction... which adds up to billions of dollars per year!

You're basically paying eBay to allow you to have an ebay selling business!
I'm not against them taking a commission, but when your fate is in their hands, I don't like that. The goal is to have a business that you control, and not to have the fate of your auction business lay solely in their hands. All they have to do is click a couple of buttons and your eBay auction selling days are done!

If you believe that you have an auction business just selling things over and over again without an eBay business strategy, let me ask you a question:

"How much would you get for selling your auction business to someone?" What's the value of it?

Remember, while you're doing all of the hard work relying on eBay or other online auction sites to bring you traffic, your fate is lying in their hands and your building THEIR equity, NOT yours!

However, if you implement an eBay marketing plan, where you own your own traffic, then you can automate your own processes, build the equity of YOUR business and your fate will no longer be totally at their mercy! You'll own your own online auction business and then you'll be able to answer the following questions:

What if eBay's site or the other auction sites went down, what is your source of income?

What if you are banned from their site or they keep raising fees to a point where you can no longer sell your product at a profitable price?

There are so many variables that could come into play and is why you MUST have some eBay sales strategies to enhance to protect yourself and build YOUR business.

Remember, you don't need to reinvent the wheel. Once you have developed, tested and implemented a winning selling strategy, then duplicate it with a different market or product.

You want to capture that traffic from eBay, so you can capitalize on these smaller niche markets on the web that you are operating your online auctions in! This is where the principle of concentration applies! You are concentrating your resources to build a machine and then moving them to the decisive point! Is it beginning to make more since now?

The goal is to focus on a niche market or product and generate multiple hands free streams of income by harnessing and leveraging the power and traffic of one of the world's most trafficked websites! The key eBay selling tip is to do it without breaking any rules, guidelines or policies. You then want to automate everything you can. Then build on it and establish it. After it is profitable, you then want to focus on another and then repeat the process. Learn how to automate your auction sales processes by reading: "How To Sell On Ebay Using Automation Strategies!"

Once you have it set up and it is turning a profit, continue to automate as much as possible!

You'll spread yourself out with automated "oil wells" on the internet, plus you'll be using the power and traffic from your online auction selling efforts.

This is why having an eBay selling strategy is critically important because you're protected from a major fall in your income if you are shut down or if one market collapses. Since you'll be operating in several markets and your income is coming from several sources through online auctions and from your websites, you're income is protected because you're spread across several areas so that a collapse in one will not devastate your business. If you fall in one, you can move to another market and do it again.

I hope you can now can see the importance of having an eBay selling strategy for your front end sales as well as your back end sales when you are trying to make money selling on ebay.
