AUCTION BUSINESS! | ![]() |
Unfortunately for most people, wanna be sellers think that simply finding a product to sell on eBay is all it takes to start an auction commerce business. What happens is the wanna be seller ventures out to find product and soon becomes frustrated and discouraged because they can't seem to find merchandise for cheaper than what most other sellers are selling it for!
Many people don't understand that successful eBay businesses are built on strategy and careful planning. That may be done in different ways and can be done by doing simple things such as optimizing an eBay auction listing or devising a way to sell back end products to customers using various sales methods such as ebay drop shipping. Whatever the case may be, you should have an "auction how to" method, or a strategy to what you are doing.
Most people also do not get beyond the thinking that they need to invest in merchandise in order to sell it because many people don't know that there are other ways to start an auction business. For instance, an eBay drop off store could be created. This could be a brick and mortar store front or you can also operate it out of your house. This would be more like an consignment eBay business, where you sell other peoples items for a percentage of the profit.
Due to the many unknowns most people face, they seem to run into brick walls and either quit, or purchase the latest greatest eBay selling secrets from some "guru" or expert if you will. What happens is that usually results in more disappointment and frustration because most business opportunity or making money products aren't about the claims they are promising you.
"Invest in such and such a system and watch your bank account grow in 30 days!" On and on it goes.
How many more advertisements of mansions, fancy cars, girls in bikinis on the beach or some dude hanging out on some tropical island do you need to see before you realize that you are not being sold a money making system, but you are being sold a HOPE that you can achieve financial freedom and that YOU can live that lifestyle IF you invest in that system?
It's not about what a system can do for you, it's how YOU work that system. Then the question becomes does the "system" really work?
Most people want things done for them by something or someone. The truth is if you want to be successful, it's up to you to simply get started and do it by following your plan and NOT investing in every eBay business opportunity system that comes along.
Let me share a short story with you:
I cannot tell you how many times I am approached by people with ideas wanting me to get involved in their latest million dollar idea as a partner. Usually, what they want is to tap into my resources or want me to do the work, and although they offer a nice chunk of percentage on the revenue, they don't want to do anything but yet they want all the benefit as well! My question is, if the idea is such a great idea, why do you want me to do all the work and you benefit without any effort? If you have it all figured out, why don't you want to do it? What value are you adding in the relationship?
It's quite a different story if someone is hiring you to provide a service for them to help them, but what I'm talking about is people who want to rely on YOU to build their empire and make THEM a 6 figure income.
It's because most people are lazy and or they want to be the boss and get the glory if it succeeds. BUT, if it fails, well guess what, it's my fault.
Quite honestly, I'm not interested.
I would rather invest my own time and resources into my own ideas and businesses and get all the profit from something I believe in with the full benefit from my own labor instead of busting my tail to make someone else rich. If I wanted to do that, I would go get a J.O.B.! Here's the point I'm trying to make:
The point I'm trying to make is YOU take care of your own house and do the work to grow your own eBay auction business or any other business you decide to venture off into. Do not rely on someone else or on some system to do it for you. If you're starting an auction business and you have an eBay business idea, then simply define a plan of attack and set out to achieve your goals. Start with a simple auction listing and grow from there if you need to. The point is to have a plan, be in motion to put your plan into action and then do it. Don't rely on someone or something to make you rich.
Please don't get me wrong. You can invest in an eBay business money making system and learn from it if it's legit. I'm sure not all of them are frauds. Just be careful and after all, knowledge is power and you should learn from anything you can when it comes to helping you achieve your dreams and goals. Just learn what to do as well as what not to do.
However, you must also be aware that the promise of riches and success from a "system" or "someone" is up to YOU to put into practice if you want to be successful with your auction business. You have to do the work. No one is going to do it for you!
